Get Thrifty UBC

In 2017, Get Thrifty was a small project by Project Imagine Association, a BC non-profit comprised of a small collective of UBC student designers with a passion for sustainable solutions. By mid-2018, Get Thrifty was gaining traction and popularity as a monthly pop-up on UBC campus. Thanks to a 2019 referendum, the store attained approx. $50K of annual funding to support the establishment of a physical location, funded through the UBC AMS (Alma Mater Society) student fees. This fee ($0.95 per person/year) is to be discontinued once Get Thrifty’s operations are self-sustainable.
