Is it too late to book a cherry blossom photoshoot in Vancouver?
Cherry blossom season usually lasts a lot longer than you might think.
The first wave of blossoms typically blooms between March 25 and April 13, and this is the period when cherry blossom hype is at its highest. With so many people posting cherry blossom themed photos, it’s easy to succumb to FOMO and wish you had booked a shoot in advance. However, this first wave of blossoms is only one of many. In fact, beautiful pink flowers will be present on Vancouver trees for over a month!
The season usually lasts well into early May, with darker pink plum blossoms making an appearance in the last week or so of April. Plum blossoms are usually larger and fuller than typical cherry blossoms, and provide beautiful scenery for photoshoots once the light-pink cherry petals have fallen away.
While it may feel as though the season is already well underway, there is still nearly a month of blooms ahead of us. Whether you are interested in getting updated pictures for social media, capturing special moments with your family, or documenting romance with a couples shoot, the beautiful pink blossoms will bring a dreamy, lighthearted aesthetic to your images.
